Performance Evaluation and Analysis of Rolechem's New ARC-Si03 and ARC-Si04 Silane Series
I. Performance Summary and Analysis
Rolechem has launched its new additives, ARC-Si03 and ARC-Si04. This series of silane-based products effectively suppresses the growth of acidity and moisture in the electrolyte while enhancing both high- and low-temperature performance of the cell.

II. Evaluation Conditions
Cell Type: 1Ah pouch cell
Chemistry System: NCM811 / Graphite
Voltage Window: 3.0 V – 4.25 V
Electrolyte Baseline (Blank): EMC : EC : DEC = 5 : 3 : 2 , 1.1M LiPF6, with VC + PS additives
Control Group: Electrolyte Baseline (Blank)
Experimental Groups: 1% Si03, 1% Si04
III. Experimental Results
Si03 and Si04 can effectively inhibit the increase in electrolyte acidity during storage. As silane-based additives, Si03 and Si04 do not cause an increase in impedance. After 14 days of storage at 60°C, cells incorporating Si03 and Si04 exhibit noticeable improvements in capacity retention and recovery rates, effectively improving high-temperature performance while maintaining excellent low-temperature discharge performance. Furthermore, high-temperature cycling performance shows no significant degradation.
IV. Conclusion
In summary, the ARC-Si03 and ARC-Si04 silane-based additives effectively suppress the growth of acidity and moisture in the electrolyte, improve high-temperature storage performance, enhance rate and low-temperature performance, and do not degrade cycling performance.
