Performance Evaluation and Analysis of Rolechem's New FPS Additive

III. Experimental Results
Fluorination increases the reduction potential of FPS. As seen from the differential capacity curve, FPS forms a protective film earlier than PS during the formation stage, exhibiting higher film-forming efficiency. FPS further enhances the already excellent high-temperature performance of PS: under 60°C storage conditions, both the capacity retention and recovery rates of the FPS cell group are comprehensively higher than those of the PS group. Addressing the drawbacks of PS—such as high impedance and poor low-temperature performance—FPS shows modest overall improvement, with low-temperature discharge performance slightly superior to that of PS. Furthermore, the rate capability of FPS is comprehensively superior to that of PS, while its high-temperature cycling performance is on par with PS.
IV. Conclusion
In summary, FPS forms an exceptional SEI film, effectively enhancing battery rate capability and cycling performance while improving high-temperature performance. Compared with PS, aside from its comprehensive performance advantages, FPS also holds significant benefits in terms of environmental friendliness and unrestricted export to European and American markets.
